This past weekend saw a devastating hurricane/tropical storm do immense damage to parts of our world. Here in North Georgia the damage was minimal, but in other parts of the Southeast, it forever changed many communities and towns.
Along with this, the tensions and division in the Middle East have ramped up even more as Israel is now at war on two sides.
Let’s
add one more world event. The political tension here in America is reaching a level of division and hatred that seems unprecedented.
So, what do we as Christians do about all of this and will it be enough?
Clearly, the first response is prayer. I understand that saying this can seem like a Christian cop out and we like tangible hands-on responses, but prayer truly is the most powerful thing we can do. I truly believe that when we get to Heaven, we will see just how powerful and effective our prayers really were.
When things happen in places that are far away, it can be easy to forget and not keep them at the forefront of our hearts. So, is it enough? A resounding yes is the answer.
Prayer will lead us to proper response while at the same time activating Heaven’s power. Keep praying and keep listening to how God will use us to help our world. We have the opportunity to make a difference through the gift God has given us. Let’s not miss out! It is definitely enough.
