Weekly Update
What a week it has been. On Sunday we had our normal service, and then we added a Sunday evening service to hear from Bishop Carlos Pirona and his lovely wife Dr. Maria Pirona. They came with greetings from Venezuela and told us about the good work that is being done there in the midst of great national tragedy. Our own Omar Nunnes helped us by serving as the translator. Our wonderful congregation came through this week in a big way. Food donations continue to pour in for our Manna Pantry. Our shelves looked somewhat normal this week thanks to all of you. We continue to pray for hurricane victims all across the Southeast, as well as those who are about to be hit at the time of this writing. People are suffering inconceivable losses, and they need the church to continue to respond in prayer and giving. Our big outreach is coming up at month’s end, Trunk and Treat. We will see hundreds of kids come through and we need all hands on deck. Please see sign up board in the Church lobby. Finally, we have sad news. We are saying goodbye to our office administrator, Kim Schumacher. We are thankful for Kim’s years of service to Faith and wish her all the best in her next season. Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday as we continue learning about the “Power of God” by studying the Book of Ephesians. This week we will focus on Chapter 2 if you want to read ahead.
