We are officially into Fall! At least that is what the calendar says. It is still HOT!! That does not stop us, however, from being God’s amazing Church. We are continuing to move toward some big fall events and moments.
I am so proud that the tradition of Faith Methodist has been as a people of prayer. I am proud not for the sake of bragging, but for the fact that great things of God only come through prayer. Those that went before us knew it, those that have led over the past few years have known it, and now our younger generations are realizing the need to pour into it. This Saturday at 6:00 p.m. our young adults have requested a night of prayer and worship. They recognize the need to hear from God in order to move forward. With this kind of tradition going forward, I am excited about where God is taking us. Anyone is welcome to come and pray and join our next generation in encouragement and partnership.
We have many Fall events coming your way as you can see on our wonderful Website and in this Newsletter. Please pay special attention to the ones that enable you to invite someone or the ones that allow you to come out and serve. If we are going to continue to grow and reach our community, we have to put our hands and feet where our vision is!
This week also kicks off our new section of teaching for Wednesday Nights at Faith. We will spend five weeks looking at the Bible and finding out more about what it is and how to study it. This is the second part of our Discipleship journey. Each week stands on its own and you can come in at any point.
I am looking forward to a great Sunday coming up. We will be tackling the topic of “How to Live in a Devolving Culture”.
