Weekly Update
Over the past couple of weeks, we have collected toiletries and feminine products for Anchor Ministries. The goal was to provide some practical love in order to have permission to speak into their lives just a bit with the Gospel. The results were wonderful. Anchor ministry leader Bobby Lawrence said to let Faith know that the people they ministered to at the Efficiency Lodge were very very grateful for these practical gifts. He went on to say that in their meetings there over the weekend, twelve people gave their lives to Christ! Isn’t it amazing that God would use toilet paper to open the door of salvation! I am so encouraged by the feedback we are getting from our Wednesday nights at Faith. People are sharing what they are learning in other places and the ongoing growth in discipleship is amazing. My hope is to get the teachings online soon so that everyone can take advantage of these practical steps to be a Jesus follower in a deeper way. We have some exciting news to share on our Youth front. We have made a change in leadership. Peyton Miller is moving into the role of Youth Director. Peyton has felt God calling her to this for some time and after praying with her and taking time to discern, we have agreed that this is the right move. Jalon Amica, who has done a wonderful job loving our youth, will move into a helping role with the Youth, and a more direct role with our growing Young Adult ministry. Please keep them both in prayer as they seek to bring God’s Word and growth to both of these groups. We also want to announce that Rev. Al Cunningham will be joining our staff as Associate Pastor. Al already serves in so many ways, we look forward to him leading and serving in a more official capacity. Please pray for Al as he takes on this important role. God is continuing to move at Faith. Remember to share the good news when you are out and about. Remember also, over 80% of people who visit a church come because someone invited them! Invite, invite, invite!
